Our legacy ambitions

The London 2012 Games is a launch pad to bring about positive changes for the people of Hertfordshire. These changes don't have to end when the Games finish in 2012.

In the run up to the Games and beyond 2012 we want to achieve:

Increased participation – in sport, competing and volunteering
Healthier communities
Better sports facilities
More opportunities for young people
An established countywide Talented Young Athletes scheme
A world class sports facility that everyone can use – White Water Canoe Slalom Centre
Closer communities - through sport and cultural events
A stronger Hertfordshire economy
