Protection: Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 (schedule 5,6), and EC Directive Bern Convention.
General Information: Found in barns, older buildings and trees over summer, and undergrounds sites, mines, ice houses, trees and buildings in the winter. Their feeding habitats are open woodlands, parkland, and hedgerows alongside water vegetation.
