About us
The Community Engagement, Empowerment and Cohesion (CEEC) group initiated this project. Many local authorities in Hertfordshire are involved with this group, as well as other organisations such as the Hertfordshire Association of Parish and Town Councils.
The project works towards achieving the following Local Area Agreement (LAA) targets:
- Increase the percentage of people surveyed who are satisfied with the opportunities for participation in local decision-making provided by their Council by 2% by 2009.
- Increase the percentage of people surveyed who feel they can influence decisions affecting their local area by 2% by 2009.
- Increase the percentage of people surveyed who feel their local area is a place where people from different backgrounds get on well together by 2% by 2009.
The CEEC group successfully gained funding from Building Capacity East to finance the outcomes of the project and Dacorum Borough Council employed Natalie Webb to deliver these. The project ran from March 2007 to March 2008.
A full report on the project can be found here(report written March 2008).
